I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen colleagues
I will say this last goodbye.

To Friends And Family Of The Departed Souls, Receive My Heartfelt Condolence.

About some few weeks ago around 8:00pm, I was walking down the street from Getfund hall towards Administration block. I was walking slowly as if something has happened to me but everything was fine. I raised my head and saw with my eyes a falling star from the sky just on top of the administration block, and I stared till it faded getting to the ground.

Many people believe it is a sign of death when you see a falling star but I believe it is a moment to make a wish with your eyes closed so when I saw that I closed my eyes and made a wish to my future.

Less than two weeks, we have been hit with deaths on campus among students and the security department. This is making me to wonder if indeed the star i saw falling really proves that it’s a sign of death? No I don’t want to believe so.

My heart is broken and I feel sad to hear the death of these young colleague students. May their departed souls find rest peacefully.

I want to use this opportunity to call on the SRC President and his executives to organize a vigil night in memory of our colleague students.

I therefore caution all students to take very good care of themselves, I mean their health, spiritual lives and emotions as well. Let’s make use of our clinic for regular check-ups and our counselling unit to share with them what bother us.

When we bow our heads to pray let’s say a prayer for one another because we can only get better to the glory of God.

May God bless and protect us all.
